Dr. Doris Rapp has worked diligently to bring a great deal of information to the public regarding toxicity, multiple chemical sensitivity and the dangers of genetically modified foods. This book contains a great deal of information and is designed for the person who may be suffering significant symptoms related to toxicity. I found it dense and difficult to follow as I had just finished Seeds of Deception by Jeffery Smith and Our Stolen Future by Theo Colborn. Rapp’s book would be an almost complete overlap of information in a less readable form if it were not for the practical and helpful appendices at the back of the book. These include elimination diets, how to find health professionals and environmental home testing professionals and an exhaustive list of other resources including diagnostic tests and remedies, books, websites, and public access information.
Dr. Rapp is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric allergy. She was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the State University of New York at Buffalo until January 1996. She has dedicated her life to providing research, information and sensible solutions for those affected by both the typical and atypical forms of allergies. Currently, she is the President, Doris J. Rapp Education Corporation and Founder, Environmental Research Foundation in Scottsdale, AZ
